In the summer of 2019, two women who had experienced housing insecurity came together with a shared vision: to create lasting housing solutions for those most at risk of displacement. From this vision, Pickled Ironwood Creations and Designs was born.

Recognizing the immense need for affordable housing, they refined their focus over the next five years, establishing two core divisions: Pickled Ironwood and Pic’d Homes. Pickled Ironwood specializes in the development and management of affordable housing projects, ensuring sustainable and community-driven solutions. Meanwhile, Pic’d Homes is dedicated to the construction of casitas and alternative dwelling units (ADUs), providing innovative and accessible housing options.
